I disagree. Shadow of Mordor's combat was pathetically easy. While it was fun to have extended brawls with a small group of 8 orcs, you're almost never in any danger throughout the course of the game. Each orc took a little longer to die. Shadow of Mordor was much slower paced, while Shadow of War is actually trying to, uh, challenge you. But if you want to power through with the same upgrades the wole time i'd use uruks which i personally find anoying to deal with (say the olog hai) for the first 2 and then use cursed siege for 3 , war graug 4 (only if you don't have a quick way to dominate a drake if so use wild drake) farsight archers for 5 and for 6 switch it between the 2 News, information and discussion about Shadow of War - The long awaited sequel to Shadow of Mordor. The new shadow war have 3 stages with total 5 battles. If you like either you'll enjoy playing both and might as well start with Mordor. If it's only mildly interesting then you can skip Mordor as the important story bits are explained in the beginning of SoW. Mechanically shadow of war is just a better game because it is basically just the first game with more mechanics. Because Shadow of War took something simple and made it bad Shadow of Mordor had flaws but the Nemesis system is one of last gens greatest innovations.
